Donald Trump’s trial in the United States Senate for “inciting an insurrection” should no longer end this Saturday with a vote on whether the former US president should be convicted or not for his role in the invasion of the Capitol on 6 January. Without saying anything on Friday, the Democratic Party decided this Saturday to call witnesses, which can postpone the end of the trial for several days.
