“Just because she’s not with Ben doesn’t mean she doesn’t care about his kids,” the source says.
Lopez has always cared for Ben’s children as if they were her own. In 2023, the actress spent months looking for the perfect house for the whole family. Now that she lives in Los Angeles, she wants to spend every second of quality time with the kids before they start school again.
Lopez and Affleck — whose 52nd birthday is Aug. 15 — haven’t seen each other in weeks.
“Jennifer is even trying to find a new home,” the source says.
While the kids haven’t started school yet, Affleck is also spending time with them.
“The summer was not the easiest for him. He’s just trying to focus and make every day as good as possible for his kids,” the source explains.
Affleck and Lopez, whose second wedding anniversary was in July, haven’t had a chance for the couple to make a public announcement about what’s going on in their relationship. Signs of trouble in their relationship became apparent in May when sources reported that the two were living in different places.
Lopez canceled her summer concert tour to spend time with her family. now and upcoming shooting in the film Unstoppable, which is produced by Affleck’s company. The production is scheduled to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.
