The next 2 weeks will be the peak of summer 2024. A relatively long dry, hot and fire-dangerous period is ahead, Nova TV informs.
From Wednesday onwards, the atmosphere will stabilize and sunny weather will settle over the country with rising daytime temperatures. So, towards the end of the current weekthe thermometers in the usual hot spots in our country will touch 40 degrees.
The second full week of the month will be sunny, dry and hot. If the currently forecasted situation is maintained, the daily temperatures will range from 35 to 40 degrees with possible local heating and above this limit.
On the Black Sea coast, short local thunderstorms are expected on Monday along the southern coasts, and on Tuesday along the northern coast. This more dynamic period will be followed by a long sunny and dry spell.
Even with the brief localized showers on Monday and Tuesday, the next two weeks will be dry and particularly fire-prone. In the course of the month, the drought will deprive the surface soil layer of moisture, the mass of dry vegetation will increase.
The risk of rapid ignition of field and wildfires will increase dramatically towards the end of the coming week and will remain “extreme” beyond that.
It will be extremely dangerous to light a fire in home yards to prepare winter food, to clear harvested agricultural massifs with fire, to light a tourist fire on the mountain.
