Turmalina expanded exploration areas in the San Francisco project – El Investor Energetico & Minero Newspaper

The company reported that it has identified multiple priority drill targets within its large 345 km2 land package.

While drilling to date has focused on tourmaline breccia tubing, which has returned multiple high-grade results, the Company has also been conducting an extensive regional field program following the project expansion in 2021.

This expansion consolidated the Company’s interests in the belt, after a lengthy land assembly process during which the company finalized several agreements for regional acquisitions adjacent to the San Francisco project.

In a statement, they said the new acquisitions increased the company’s holdings along the mineral belt from 3,404 hectares (ha) to 34,651 ha, an increase of 1,018 percent. The new holdings cover numerous prospects, mineralized breccia groups and old small-scale mines.

An agreement with the Provincial Institute of Mining Explorations and Exploitations of the Province of San Juan (IPEEM), grants Turmalina, through its operating company in Argentina, Aurora Mining SA (AMSA), exploration rights in an area of 11,038 hectares immediately north of the existing project area. This area includes several undrilled groups of tourmaline breccia pipes and epithermal vein systems that have supported previous small-scale mining.
