“Although the Western powers are well aware of the intentions of the Netanyahu government, they do not dare to raise their voices because of the shame of the Holocaust”Erdoğan said, referring to the inability of Western countries to confront Israel. According to him, the Israeli government “produces a new excuse every day to legitimize its occupation policy.”
In addition to his focus on foreign policy, Erdoğan directed harsh criticism toward the domestic opposition in Türkiye, claiming that citizens do not trust their leaders. “Our people trust the AK Party and the People’s Alliance, even if they sometimes complain. “They do not believe that the opposition can offer anything positive,” the president said.
Looking ahead to the upcoming 8th Great Ordinary Congress of the AK Party, the president stressed the need for renewal within his party, promising to strengthen his team with “new names that have the vision and commitment of the AK Party.”
The Turkish leader also called for lowering the tone of internal political confrontation: “We will not give importance to the language of anger and hatred, and we will move forward by winning hearts with kindness and tolerance.”
