Turkish women’s volleyball players reached the final of the European Championship. SIA reports that the Turkish team won the right to participate in the final for the third time in its history after defeating the Italian team in the semi-final match held in Brussels. The women’s volleyball players of the sister country won the match with a score of 3:2.

In the final, the opponent of the Turkish national team will be the winner of the Serbia-Netherlands match. The final match of the championship will be held on September 3 in Brussels.

24 teams competed in 4 groups at the 33rd European Championship jointly hosted by Belgium, Estonia, Germany and Italy. The volleyball players of the fraternal country, who are in group C, won all five of the group matches they played in Germany and qualified for the quarter finals. The Turkish team lost to Belgium (3:1) in the quarterfinals and Poland (3:0) in the quarterfinals.
