Turkey hosted the first firing of MAM-T missiles developed by the Turkish company Roketsan for the high-altitude long-range unmanned aerial vehicle Akinci. The tests were successful, writes Defense Here.
“Thanks to the high efficiency of the warhead and the longer range, the MAM-T successfully hit the target,” the newspaper notes.
During the scientist firing from the Akinci UAV, for the first time, three ammunition was used at once – MAM-T, MAM-L and MAM-C. All of them successfully hit the Russian-made Pantsir anti-aircraft missile system.
MAM-T Block-1 are equipped with a high-precision semi-active laser guidance system, which provides high sensitivity to targets – moving and stationary.
The ammunition can be used to destroy unarmored and armored vehicles, buildings and surface targets at a distance of more than 30 kilometers.
