A Turkish ship has been hit by a bomb off the coast of the Ukrainian city of Odessa, the Turkish General Directorate of Maritime Affairs reported, quoted by Reuters.
The crew of the ship “Yasa Jupiter”, flying the flag of the Marshall Islands and owned by Turkey, did not ask for help. He continued to sail to Romania and no one was injured. Only material damage was inflicted, the General Directorate of Maritime Affairs wrote on Twitter.

The shipping company “Yasa Gemi Isletmeciligi” also made a statement in connection with the incident, informs the Turkish television CNN-Turk. It says the ship was hit after the cargo was dropped off at the port of Odessa.
The vessel is moving to the nearest safe area to assess damage and other operations, the statement said.
