Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Peace Palace in Jeddah.

The Turkish president arrived in Jeddah yesterday, Monday, on an official visit, as part of efforts to strengthen joint relations and economic, investment and trade cooperation between the two countries.

Erdogan said, before leaving Istanbul on Monday, heading to Saudi Arabia at the start of his tour that also includes Qatar and the UAE, that the volume of trade exchange between Turkey and the Gulf countries has increased, during the last 20 years, from $1.6 billion to about $22 billion.

He added that they will look, during the talks in the three Gulf countries, for ways to push this figure much further, through business forums that will be organized in Jeddah, Doha and Abu Dhabi.
