Turkish President Erdogan to inaugurate Turkish House in New York

AA / Mersin (Turkey)

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will inaugurate the Turkish House in New York on Monday.

The Head of State delivered a speech at the local meeting of his Justice and Development Party (AK Party) on Friday in Mersin, a city in southern Turkey.

He has announced that he will pay an official visit to the United States next week.

“I will go to the United States on Sunday, and we will inaugurate the 36-story Turkish House in New York on Monday, opposite the United Nations (UN) headquarters,” Erdogan said.

The President spoke about the projects carried out by his party during nearly 20 years of power in Turkey.

“Marginalization has no place in our mentality,” he said. “We are not here to be the master of the people, but to serve them. We do not distinguish people according to their faith, religion or language. “

Erdogan also addressed young people: “In 2023, we will celebrate the centenary of our Republic and organize the presidential and legislative elections.”

He called on his party officials to explain to the people the reforms carried out by the AK Party in the fields of the economy, democracy, law, the defense industry, security and justice.

“We must not only talk about our successes of the past years, but also our goals for 2023, 2053 and 2071,” Erdogan insisted.

He concluded by calling on the members and officials of his party to be more active and to put more effort into it.
