Adel Rashed, the head of the Egyptian community in Turkey, who is one of the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood, announced that Fatih Aina, the director of the Immigration Department in Istanbul, invited him to attend a meeting of the Immigration Department in Istanbul to discuss legal problems related to Egyptians, especially with regard to legalizing conditions, adding that he participated with him, Osama Abdel Qawi, the deputy head of the community and most of the heads and representatives. Egyptian associations, and requested that the slogan launched by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and all Turkish state officials continue to be implemented as supporters and the Brotherhood of immigrants.
He stated that he talked during the meeting about the problems facing and afflicting the Egyptians and proposed some solutions to them, stressing that the Turkish Director of Immigration promised to study everything discussed in the meeting word for word and implement everything he could. He also asked to choose one person to coordinate between the two sides and submit requests related to problems in general.

This comes days after a meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and a delegation from the Union of Muslim Scholars, which included more than 20 people from different countries of the world.
In it, Erdogan announced the allocation of a direct line for the delegation in order to communicate with the Presidency of the Republic in the event of any transgressions affecting immigrants – by whom they mean the Brotherhood members, specifically from Egypt and Syria.
This came after the members of the delegation complained about procedures and raids that affected the group’s members in Turkey, and proceeded to deport some of them and stop their obtaining residency and nationalities.
In the meantime, the Muslim Brotherhood preacher Wajdi Ghoneim criticized the group and the Union of Muslim Scholars for this meeting, for ignoring his invitation to attend the meeting, and for not presenting the case of the Turkish authorities’ refusal to grant him residency or citizenship so far.
The group intervened immediately to silence Ghoneim, as the Brotherhood, Muhammad al-Saghir, announced that a delegation from the group visited Ghoneim at his home, and assured him that the choice of the delegation that attended the meeting with the Turkish president was not on the side of the group or the Union of Muslim Scholars, and they promised him to intervene to solve his problem in Turkey.
The identity of the Egyptian community in Turkey
It is noteworthy that the Egyptian community in Turkey is dominated by the group’s elements after the recent elections that took place in January of the year 2022, and resulted in the victory of a list that includes the Brotherhood’s members and others affiliated with it.
The community is headed by Adel Rashid, who won the presidency of the League, and with him the Brotherhood, Seif El-Din Abdel-Fattah, a professor of political science and advisor to ousted President Mohamed Morsi, and Mohamed Nasr El-Din Al-Ghazlani, who is included in the US terrorist lists for his links to Al-Qaeda, and Dr. Tamer El-Gendy, a Brotherhood leader from the group’s office in Dakahlia and who fled to Turkey. Muhammad Allam Wahba Hussein and Muhammad al-Hawari were nominated on the Brotherhood’s list in the elections of the Doctors Syndicate.
It is noteworthy that the head of the community, Adel Rashid, is one of the Brotherhood leaders responsible for smuggling the group’s members to Turkey, and he was one of the group’s representatives in the Egyptian parliament during the Brotherhood’s rule, and he is behind the production and promotion of videos that were broadcast by the group’s channels from abroad against the Egyptian regime. As for his son Yasser, he is one of Those involved in the bombing that targeted the Dakahlia Security Directorate in 2013.
