Turkish President Demands Sweden Keep Their Promises for NATO Membership

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Sweden’s NATO membership depends on “keeping its promises.” It is reported by Yeni Safak.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who returned from Hungary, stated this in an interview with reporters on the plane. According to him, the decision on this issue will be made by the Turkish parliament.

The Turkish leader noted:

“We do not know how long this issue will be discussed in our parliament. Above all, Sweden must control the streets of Stockholm. If they don’t, if they attack what we consider sacred, then don’t be offended.”
