Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Condemns Swedish Government for Provocation Against President Erdogan: EADaily Reports

The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in connection with the provocation directed against Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the Swedish capital Stockholm, sharply condemned the actions of the Swedish government. Anadolu Agency reports this.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry noted:

“We condemn in the strongest terms that this action was allowed to happen.”

The ministry said in a written statement that the provocation took place near the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm:

We condemn in the strongest possible terms that a heinous act has been allowed to take place against the person of our President… The main expectation of Turkish society is that Sweden must prevent both these systematic defamatory actions against our elected officials and the ongoing propaganda activities of terrorist organizations.” .

On September 29, in front of the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm, under police protection, a provocation was organized with the burning of a model of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

EADaily reminds that during the process of Sweden’s accession to NATO, provocations directed against Turkey, the Turkish flag, Erdogan and the Holy Quran continue in different cities of the country.
