Turkish landmarks light up in orange to support children suffering from leukemia

In the first week of November, numerous initiatives were launched in Turkey to raise awareness and public awareness of the disease leukemia. Two notable actions took place in Istanbul and Antalya.

Bosphorus bridges in Istanbul glow orange

In Istanbul, the famous Bosphorus bridges, including the Fatih Sultan Mehmet and Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridges, were bathed in a striking orange light. The campaign took place as part of the Week for Children with Leukemia, which takes place from November 2nd to 8th every year. The aim of the illumination is to raise awareness of leukemia and sensitize the population. The impressive light installation began in the evening and lasted until dawn.

The Land of Legends supports the campaign

At the same time, the well-known leisure and shopping experience The Land of Legends in Antalya-Belek also set an example. On November 7th, the park turned its gigantic castle a bright orange. With this colorful gesture, The Land of Legends conveyed the message: “We too stand by LÖSEV and the children suffering from leukemia.”

These actions are part of a larger campaign organized by the Foundation for Children with Leukemia (LÖSEV). LÖSEV carries out numerous activities during Children’s Leukemia Week to inform the public about the disease and mobilize support for affected children and their families.

The symbolic glow in orange is a sign of solidarity and hope. It is a reminder of how important it is to fight together against leukemia and not to leave those affected alone. Such initiatives go a long way in raising awareness and driving the necessary relief efforts.

The Week for Children with Leukemia also offers a platform for fundraising campaigns and events that draw attention to the needs of the affected families. By incorporating well-known landmarks such as the Bosphorus Bridges and tourist attractions such as The Land of Legends, the reach and impact of the campaign is significantly increased.
