Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Sunday that Turkish forces had killed ISIS leader Abu al-Hussein al-Qurashi in Syria.
Erdogan confirmed in an interview with the Turkish TV station “TRT” that “this person was neutralized as part of an operation carried out by the Turkish National Intelligence Service in Syria yesterday.”
He added that Turkish intelligence had been following al-Qurashi for a long time.
