Turkish and Russian Presidents to Hold Phone Conversation: Grain Export, Gas Hub, and Ukraine Truce on the Agenda

The presidents of Turkey and Russia, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Vladimir Putin, are expected to hold a telephone conversation today, reports CNN-Turk, quoted by BTA.

The two are scheduled to discuss a number of issues, including the possibility of resuming the agreement on the export of grain from Ukrainian ports.

Last month, Moscow suspended its participation in the so-called grain deal.

Today, Erdogan and Putin are also expected to talk about plans to create a gas hub in Turkey, as well as discuss efforts to achieve a lasting truce in the war between Russia and Ukraine.

The two leaders are expected to discuss the possibility of Putin’s visit to Turkey.
