Turkish Airlines is about to place an order for around 350 aircraft with Airbus. The deal may be announced on Monday, at the same time as the start of the Dubai Airshow.
According to news agency sources Bloomberg the Turkish national airline is interested in different types of aircraft. Turkish Airlines has often spoken out about placing a large order. The company wants to almost double its fleet to approximately eight hundred aircraft in the next ten years.
If the agreement is announced at the Dubai Airshow, it will have an impact on the dynamics at the biennial aviation fair. For example, Emirates, the national airline of Dubai, is normally the most prominent player on the stock exchange.
Emirates has previously said it wants to make a major purchase of more than a hundred aircraft.
