Yesterday, data from the Turkish Statistical Institute showed that tourism revenues rose 32.3 percent to $8.69 billion in the first quarter, maintaining the strong trend that it returned to last year despite the devastating earthquakes that struck the south of the country in February. In 2022, revenues rose 53.4 percent compared to the previous year, to a record $46.28 billion, as the coronavirus pandemic receded.
