He insists Hamas is not a terrorist organization and calls Israel “occupiers” and “invaders”
New tensions between Turkey and Israel. Recep Erdogan has compared Benjamin Netanyahu to Adolf Hitler and said the Israelis are committing genocide in Gaza. Turkey’s president gave an angry speech in Ankara in which he condemned the West for supporting Israel.
Erdogan announced that all scientists and intellectuals who are against the policies of their countries are suppressed and censored. They were welcome in Turkey. Since the beginning of the military operation in Gaza, Turkey has been one of the fiercest critics of Israel.
The Turkish president insists that Hamas is not a terrorist organization and calls Israel “occupiers” and “invaders”. Minutes after Erdoğan’s speech, Netanyahu said that Turkey is committing genocide against the Kurdish people and cannot read morality to them.
Turkey abolished visas for US and Canadian citizens
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Turkish President Recep Erdogan was “the last person who can speak to us about morality”, in response to Erdogan’s remarks.
“Erdogan, who is committing genocide against the Kurds, who holds the world record for jailing journalists who oppose his rule, is the last person who can teach us about morality,” he said in H.
“The IDF is the most moral army in the world, fighting and eliminating the most heinous and cruel terrorist organization in the world, Hamas – ISIS, which has committed crimes against humanity and which Erdogan praises and accepts.”
Benny Gantz, a member of the Israeli military cabinet, also spoke about the statements of the Turkish president, who said that Erdogan’s statements were “an obvious distortion of reality and desecration of the memory of the Holocaust.”
