Flash floods occur in locations that were previously hit earthquake in Turkey. The flood resulted in the death of around 14 people.
Reported AFP, Thursday (16/3/2023), floods hit areas of Turkey rocked by an earthquake measuring 7.8 magnitude on February 6. The earthquake left more than 48,000 people dead in Turkey and nearly 6,000 others killed in Syria.
Hundreds of thousands of victims of the Turkish earthquake lost their homes. Currently, they are forced to live in tents as well as container houses scattered across the affected areas, which cover 11 provinces in southeastern Turkey.

Heavy rains flushed the area on Tuesday (14/3) local time, with the weather forecasting agency predicting heavy rains would continue until Wednesday (15/3) evening local time.
The local government said a number of people were swept away by the heavy flood currents. In addition, the local streets became muddy rivers.
Turkish officials say that flash floods have killed at least 12 people in the Sanliurfa region, which is just 50 kilometers north of the Syrian border.
Two other people, local officials said, were killed by flooding in the Adiyaman area. One of the dead was a 1 year old boy.
