Turkey registered 1,480 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to official data published on Sunday, reports the Anadolu Agency.
The Ministry of Health said that in the same period there were 12 virus-related deaths and 2,113 recoveries, while 108,802 tests were also carried out.
To curb the spread of the virus, Turkey has administered almost 147.5 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine since it launched an immunization campaign in January 2021.
More than 57.81 million people have received their first injection, while more than 53 million are fully vaccinated.

The number of people diagnosed with the coronavirus in Turkey since the start of the pandemic exceeds 15 million.
Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca stated on Twitter that when the number of daily coronavirus cases falls below 1,000, citizens will be able to stop wearing masks on public transport.
On Tuesday, Turkey lifted the mask-wearing mandate indoors, except on public transport and in hospitals.
On Friday, COVID-19-related deaths in Turkey fell into single digits, the first time the number has been this low in more than two years, Koca said.
Nine people lost their lives to the coronavirus on Friday, he said.
The last time coronavirus deaths were this low was on March 24, 2020, during the early days of the pandemic.
