Istanbul: Former Ghanaian international football player Christian Atsu, who went missing in the Turkey earthquake, has been found dead. Atsu’s body was found two weeks later in the rubble of the flat in Hatay, southern Turkey, where he lived. This was reported by BBC quoting the actor’s agent.

The apartment where Atsu lived collapsed in the Turkey-Syria earthquake that shook the world. After this, Atsu went missing. But the initial reports that the star was rescued were soon denied by the authorities. The actor was confirmed dead after the search.
Atsu, a member of the Ghana national team, was currently playing in the Turkish Super League. Former Chelsea star Atsu has played for Newcastle United for five years. The player, who also played for Everton, will enter Saudi Arabian club football in 2021. Atsu arrived in Turkey at the end of last season. He played in every match for Ghana at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. He had also scored the winning goal for his club the day before the accident.
