Turkey Compare Pfizer Vs Sinovac Vaccine Boosters, Results?

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Marina Celal Bayar University Turkey released the results of research on Pfizer vaccine booster with Sinovac vaccine in residents who have been injected with two doses of Sinovac vaccine (full vaccine) to fight Covid-19.

As a result, the Pfizer booster vaccine provides better protection than using the Sinovac vaccine. Even so, the use of these two booster vaccines still provides good protection for residents from Covid-19.

According to the results of the study recipients of two doses of Sinovac vaccine will find antibody protection will drop to 56% after three months. The third injection of Sinovac vaccine (booster) will achieve the level of antibody protection.

“In those who received only two doses of CoronaVac (the name of Sinovac’s Covid-19 vaccine), the level of antibody protection would drop to 56% after the third month after the second vaccine. These data prove that administering the third dose is the right decision,” wrote the research researchers, as quoted from Daily Sabah, Friday (8/10/2021).

The study revealed that recipients of two doses of Sinovac vaccine who received the Pfizer booster vaccine showed significant advantages in protection compared to the third dose of CoronaVac vaccine.

“Those who received the Pfizer booster vaccine had antibodies above the maximal titer measured at 95%. However, it is too early to inject a 4th vaccine from Pfizer after two doses of CoronaVac,” the study said.

“The question of when a second dose of Pfizer-BioNTech booster vaccine should be given can be answered when results are obtained in the third month and up to the sixth month after the third dose.”

For your information, the research conducted by Marina Celal Bayar University involved 1,053 health workers working at the Hafsa Sultan University Hospital, Turkey.
