The movement of vessels in the Bosphorus has been temporarily suspended since 11:30 today due to bad weather conditions, the Daily Sabah reported.
The Bosphorus was closed on Thursday due to reduced visibility, and on Friday the movement of ferries between the two shores of the strait was stopped.
The Bosphorus is used by vessels crossing the Mediterranean to the Black Sea and back. It is the busiest along the Dardanelles.
The Welsh government in Istanbul has warned of a new wave of heavy snowfall in the city, which has been battling bad weather since Wednesday.
According to the forecasts, the snowfall is expected to weaken tonight, and to stop permanently on Monday.
