The discovery of the body of 8-year-old Narin has caused anger, sadness and plenty of protests in Turkey. The unfortunate girl was found, after 19 days, where she was missing.
The lifeless body of Narin Guran was found in the province of Diyarbakir, in the southeastern part of the country. The minor was placed in a bag in a river, which is one kilometer from the village where she lived with her family, the governor of Diyarbakir told reporters. Murat Zorluoglu.
“Narine Guran was found dead, wearing the same clothes she was wearing when she disappeared. “According to the first observations, they put her in a sack after her murder, and then placed it in the river, hiding it under branches and stones so that it would not be seen,” he explained.

As part of the investigation carried out by the prosecutor’s office in Diyarbakır, Turkey, 21 people were detained, as announced by the Minister of Justice Yilmaz Toods.
Narin’s two parents and older brother are among those arrested, according to Turkish news network NTV.
At the same time, the 8-year-old’s uncle was arrested last week on suspicion of murder and “deprivation of liberty”.
The disappearance of the 8-year-old girl, on August 21, caused concern and emotion throughout Turkey. Many famous personalities of the country started ‘Find Narine’ campaign on social media.

Justice Minister Yilmaz Tunc told X that “those responsible for Narin’s death will be brought to justice».
Feminist organizations held protest rallies in several Turkish cities on Sunday night over Narin’s murder.
“Narine was murdered in a premeditated manner. Those responsible for this crime that saddens us all must be exposed and held accountable before a fair and independent judicial system,” the pro-Kurdish Dem party said in a message on the X platform.
