Ankara advises not to rush to recognize the Taliban authorities and to act together with the international community.

The Turkish authorities advise the world not to rush to recognize the Taliban who seized power in Afghanistan, writes Interfax on Tuesday, September 7th.

“There is no need to rush. This is our advice to the whole world. We must act together with the international community,” Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said.

According to him, the new Afghan government should be inclusive, and not only the Taliban, but also women and representatives of ethnic minorities should receive ministerial posts.

Cavusoglu also said that Turkey is negotiating with the Taliban on the resumption of the airport in Kabul, where Turkish diplomats are still staying.

He specified that Turkey continues contacts with Qatar and the United States on the conditions under which the opening of the airport will be possible.

Recall, a couple of days after the capture of Kabul by the Taliban, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced his readiness to cooperate with any authorities in Afghanistan.
