Today, February 1, 2023/2024 took place. the opening event of the winter admission of the study year for our full-time international students, who had the opportunity to get to know the university, meet with faculty and student council representatives, as well as receive useful information about studies and other current issues.
About 200 foreign students from different countries – India, Sri Lanka, Ghana, Italy, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Canada, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Lithuania – have applied for this winter admission. Students have applied for studies in the direction of Communication, in the direction of IT, as well as for studies at the Faculty of International Tourism and the Faculty of Business Management.
The congratulatory speech at the opening of the event was given by Imants Bergs, the chairman of the board of the Turība School of Business, and Elvisa Riekstiņa, the president of the Students’ Self-Government. On the other hand, International Projects Coordinator Laura Griķe informed the young people in more detail about the study process, while representatives of the Student Self-Government, Madara Eriņa and Katrīna Romancāne, presented the self-governance activities. In the end, the busy students went on a joint tour of the university, getting to know both the classrooms, the student hotel and the university quarter.
Currently, students from more than 40 countries of the world are studying at Turība University of Business. Extensive international exchange programs are available to students all over the world – in more than 120 partner universities.
