Tupitsky convenes KSU due to Zelensky’s decree

The KSU, apparently, does not recognize Zelensky’s decrees

Recently, Zelensky issued a decree that canceled the appointment of Tupitsky and Kasminin as judges of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine under the Yanukovych quota.

The head of the Constitutional Court, Aleksandr Tupitskiy, “dismissed” by the decree of President Volodymyr Zelensky, is convening a special session of the Constitutional Court on April 12. This is stated in Facebook court, since its the site has not been working for three days.

“We inform you about the convening of a special plenary session of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine for April 12, 2021,” the message says.

The published document says that the meeting will consider the issue of dismissing Tupitsky and Judge Alexander Kasminin on the basis of Zelensky’s decree.

As reported, on March 27, Zelensky issued a decree by which canceled the decrees of the former president Viktor Yanukovych on the appointment of Tupitsky and Kasminin as judges of the Constitutional Court.

We will remind, at the end of December, President Volodymyr Zelensky removed the head of KSU from office “for the sake of restoring justice and solving the constitutional crisis.” And on February 26, the president re-removed the KSU head for another month.

In turn, the KSU recognized Zelensky’s decree abuse of authority… The judges concluded that Tupitsky should continue to fulfill his official duties. However, he is not allowed into the courthouse. Later, the KSU said that Tupitsky still working, albeit remotely.
