The Joberg tunnel on national highway 13 in Voss was closed Sunday morning after a car lost a hot tub by the trailer.
– It was the police who reported to us and said laughingly that there was a hot tub in the roadway. We have closed the tunnel, says traffic operator Tom Hansen at Vegtrafikksentralen Vest to NTB.
He says the hot tub, according to police on the spot, should have fallen by a trailer in the 2,000-meter-long tunnel in Granvin.
At around 11am, however, the tunnel was reopened after the hot tub was removed.
Operation Chief Morten Rebnord of the Western Police District says police were notified of the hot tub in the tunnel at 10.05am.
– There is a contractor on the way to remove the hot tub. The tunnel is likely to remain closed until it is done, says Rebnord.
