The border controls by the Federal Police on Wednesday (May 17) on the A93 near Kiefersfelden had consequences for the Tunisian passenger of a coach registered in Italy: he had to go to prison on a court order. The 27-year-old did not have any papers with him, but his fingerprints revealed that he was wanted on several occasions.
The text of the message:
Kiefersfelden/Rosenheim – In the early morning, officers stopped the bus at the checkpoint and checked the occupants’ personal details. A man could not hand over documents to the federal police officers. He stated that he was a Tunisian national. With the help of his fingerprints, it was possible to unequivocally identify the stranger. It turned out that he was wanted by the district court of Freiburg (Breisgau) with an arrest warrant due to the risk of absconding. Accordingly, the urgent suspect is charged with several offenses: illegal residence, theft and commercial theft in five cases and trespassing. Because of the allegation of illegal residence in Germany, the Freiburg court had also ordered that the Tunisian had to pay 300 euros in advance as security for the upcoming criminal proceedings. Furthermore, the regional council in Freiburg was interested in the whereabouts of the migrant, who had apparently stayed not only in Germany but also in France, Switzerland and Italy in the past, because of a violation of the asylum law. In addition, the Regional Council imposed an entry ban on him as part of his transfer to the Italian authorities.
Since the man had violated this ban by returning to Germany, the federal police in Rosenheim reported the homeless person who was registered as an asylum seeker in Italy for entering the country illegally. He was unable to pay the required security deposit of 300 euros. He only had 4.10 euros. The federal police brought the Tunisian before the district court in Rosenheim. There his pre-trial detention was confirmed, which he had to start on the same day in Bernau Prison.
