Tunisia is waiting for a decisive decision from FIFA before facing Brazil in the Youth World Cup
Tunisia’s youth team will face its Brazilian counterpart, Wednesday, in the final price of the FIFA U-20 World Cup, and the match will be held at the “La Plata” stadium in Argentina, at 8:30 Doha time (6:30 Tunisian time).
The Tunisian national team does not yet know the fate of its player, the French Olympique Nimes professional, Rayan Nasraoui, before this match, since he was sent off in the second round match against Iraq, and he missed the Uruguay match at the conclusion of the first round competitions.
An official source from the Tunisian youth team’s administrative apparatus revealed, in an interview with Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, on Monday, that the Tunisian Federation sent a letter to its international counterpart, FIFA, to inquire about Nasraoui’s status, the duration of the suspension imposed on the player, and whether he could participate in the Brazil national team match.
And the same source added that the International Federation’s response will not take long and will be within the coming hours, amid fears that Nasrawi will continue to be absent from this difficult match, noting that Rayan was expelled for kicking an Iraqi player, in the match in which Tunisia won 3-0.
The Tunisian national team qualified for the final price round, for the first time in its second participation in the U-20 World Cup, as one of the best third-place teams, despite losing to Uruguay on Sunday evening with a clean goal.
