Tumblr, the popular blogging platform, has revealed its new streaming feature to compete with TikTok Live and is now available for Android and iOS.
as they grow social networksmore and more platforms are adopting the possibility of broadcasting live from our mobile devices.
TikTok has its popular Live option which activates once you reach 1,000 followers. Instead Instagram, YouTube and Twitch offer this possibility from the moment we create an account.
Now Tumblr joins this trend with its new live streaming feature which is now available to all users using mobile devices.

Tumblr has added a new feature for mobile devices
Thanks to The limitwe know that the new Tumblr feature is rolling out to iOS and Android users in the US. It will not be available globally until shortly after, which will bring with it the ability to stream from desktop computers in the future.

Like TikTok, the feature appears to be in portrait format at launch and has been integrated into the blog format. We will be able to add mods and of course Tumblr has added ways to report offensive content in case something breaks the rules.

Alike, Tumblr added the diamonds. It’s a virtual currency that allows viewers to tip content creators, a format we already have on Twitch via Bits.
To stream on Tumblr we will have to do it through our main blog. That is, if we want to do it from alternative profiles we will have to create a new account.
We will have to see how the popularity of Tumblr grows with this new feature together with the uncertainty of the future of Twitter and the possibility of TikTok being banned in the United States.
