“I think that an official letter from the Ministry of Education and Training to the Government is not as strong as the comments sent by all schools. As for the schools, we are willing to work with the Ministry of Education and Training to make recommendations to increase tuition fees so that they can have a source to ensure teaching quality and have resources to perform assigned tasks. Without proper investment, it is impossible to improve the quality of education,” said the Vice President of the University of Danang.

According to Mr. Son, schools now tend to expand the scale of training to get funding to compensate for the school’s operations. This method is very difficult to ensure quality.

“We are developing the school as an expansion, not a deepening. We always say that this is just a way of eating ourselves. The school invests too much effort, expands the training scale to have money, while the quality is not improved, in the long run this is extremely dangerous “- Mr. Son emphasized.

At the conference, a key task mentioned by Mr. Son was that the Ministry of Education and Training cooperate with other ministries to complete and adjust relevant laws and regulations that are causing difficulties for universities in realizing university autonomy. .

A variety of issues such as the operating mechanism between the university council and the Board of Directors, the management board or the coordination mechanism between the university and other units.

However, the final decision rests with the Government”.

According to a representative of the Ministry of Finance, in Decree 81, the tuition fee schedule has been revised, but other regulations have not changed. For example, there are regulations on high-quality programs, advanced programs after the end of 2 years, failing accreditation will return to apply the tuition fee rate according to Decree 81, applied by sector and autonomy level of students. higher education institutions.
