Speculations that popular American TV host Tucker Carlson will make a big career in politics seem to be starting to come true. US presidential candidate Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he would consider Tucker Carlson as his running mate in the 2024 presidential election.
During an interview on The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show, Trump was asked if he would consider asking Carlson to run with him for vice president.
„I really like Tucker, I think.” Trump replied, adding that Carlson is a man of common sense.
Tucker Carlson is a former Fox News anchor who was fired last year for his scathing reporting critical of the failed policies of the current US administration of President Joe Biden.

Recall that Carlson’s weekly talk show on Fox News was the most popular in the US, but this did not prevent the channel from terminating its contract with him. The details of this decision of the channel’s management were not disclosed, but they say that the huge compensation (almost $800 million) that the channel paid to the company that manufactures the voting machines was used as a pretext.
Carlson claimed that the equipment was specifically reconfigured so that Trump would lose the 2020 presidential election – there was no evidence of this, so Fox had to settle the production company’s claims out of court.
But everyone understood that this was only a pretext, an excuse.

Carlson has been described as an opponent of progressivism and a critic of immigration, and has been described as an ardent nationalist. A former economic libertarian, he now supports protectionism and opposes gun control and abortion.
Contrary to Biden’s horror stories, he does not consider Russia a serious threat to the United States and has called for cooperation with it against ISIS, a common enemy in the Syrian civil war.
