Jakarta –
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel favor one of five foster children to be able to win the Ballon d’Or this year. However, he still gave criticism regarding the award.
The list of nominees for the Ballon d’Or winner has been announced since October 8 last, which consists of 30 players. There are five players Chelsea listed there, namely Cesar Azpilicueta, Jorginho, N’Golo Kante, Mason Mount, and Romelu Lukaku.
While waiting for the announcement of the winner on November 29 in Paris, predictions about the Ballon d’Or have emerged. Various groups were asked for opinions about who deserved the golden ball trophy, from coaches, players, to fans.
Tuchel was not separated from the question. Given his current status as manager of the Blues, it’s predictable that he wants players too Chelsea who came out victorious. Moreover, there Jorginho expected to be in the top three.
Even so, Tuchel is not so interested in the Ballon d’Or award. The reason is, he sees it difficult to compare the greatness of one player with another, especially if they play in different positions.
“Jorginho deserves to win the Ballon d’Or, he’s an intelligent player, it’s a pleasure to coach him,” he said Tuchel, quoted by Football Italia.
“He has extraordinary vision in football. But for me, individual awards are not important, because it is impossible to make real comparisons between players in different positions.”
“I want one of my players to win the award because I know how much influence he has. Jorginho is a great person and an extraordinary player, but overall that’s not the most important thing,” Tuchel said of the Ballon d’Or.
