“It’s tuberculous pleurisy, which means water in the lungs and tuberculosis. It was not contagious, it was due to stress. I’m not allowed to eat salt, it makes me bloated, it also has side effects,” the artist declared at the time.

Tuberculous pleurisy is defined as accumulation of fluid in the pleural cavity that result of the localization of specific tuberculous lesions at this level.
The doctor, by simply listening with the stethoscope, can diagnose pleurisy if the pleural fluid volume is high enough. And chest x-ray is necessary for diagnosis in cases where the liquid is in small quantity.
