FC Twente has once again stirred up the transfer market. according to TC Tubantia Manfred Ugalde and Luka Ilic will play in the red of the Tukkers next season.
Both players have a connection with Manchester City. Ugalde was active last season at the Belgian SK Lommel, but is owned by the City Football Group. The nineteen-year-old striker is still in his native Costa Rica and will come to Enschede after his work permit has been completed. In addition to FC Twente, Ugalde was also linked to Girona FC, Troyes, Feyenoord, NEC and VVV-Venlo.
Ilic also played on a rental basis at FC Twente last season. The Serbian midfielder is again rented from Manchester City and was already at the individual tests of FC Twente on Thursday. Ilic still has a work permit until July 1, after which he will have to apply for a new one. The 21-year-old midfielder is absent for a while.
