Arbogast remains undefeated
First, Sebastian Rapp had to admit defeat to Florian Arbogast, which was exceptional that day. Germersheimer remained unbeaten in both the semifinals and the final. Jonas Reichling with a four-set win against Julian Kracher and Oliver Triemer against Daniel Nasarow turned the game around. Triemer nearly lost a 2: 0 lead, but found his way back at the right time and established himself in the decisive round with 11: 8.
In doubles, Rapp / Trimer had no chance in three sets against Arbogast / Nasarow. In subsequent singles, Rapp entered the field better after clearly losing the first set to Karcher and celebrating 3-1. Triemer was mostly at eye level against Arbogast without being able to avoid a defeat in four sets.
Duttweiler is subject to Germersheim
Despite the 3-3 lead and the fact that it would now be his turn, Reichling showed no nerves. For two sentences he gave Nazarov little chance. But the Germersheim man didn’t give up and fought to extra time in the third set. Here Reichling missed match points for the first time, but he didn’t let it upset and won 15:13.
In the semifinals, Böbig’s men also defeated TTC Burrweiler 4: 3. All three players each earned one point. Rapp and Triemer each won their matches in the fifth set at 11: 9 and 12:10. Even in doubles they had the upper hand as a couple.
VfL Duttweiler had to say goodbye to Germersheim after a 2: 4 defeat in the semifinals. In the duel between the second in the standings and the third in the 2nd Palatinate League East, Jochen Zeil defeated his longtime former club Julian Karcher. Schyam Vasanthakumar also prevailed against Karcher. More was not possible for VfL.
