“Absurd, dangerous and cynical” – that’s how Tsvetozar Tomov defined the decision of the Central Election Commission for mixed recording of votes from paper ballots and from machines. A day after leaving the post of CEC spokesperson, he gave reasons for his decision.
According to Tsvetozar Tomov, almost all cases of errors or frauds will not even be noticed because of the general registration of votes.
“This decision is manna from heaven for election fraudsters – it’s like unlocking the door of your home so that you don’t create problems for possible thieves to break the locks. For the first time, the CEC has adopted a decision that actually makes the data from the machine voting confidential,” commented Tomov .
The Public Council of the CEC stated that this is how control is being underestimated.
“We will have no possibility of control, the numbers in the protocol will be total and we will not know how many people voted with paper and how many with machines,” commented Tsvetelina Peneva.
Yesterday, in front of bTV, the submitter of the proposal from the BSP quota, Emil Voinov, explained that the mixed registration will facilitate the sectional committees.
“For” the idea were the members of the commission from GERB, DPS, BSP and “There is such a people”. The coalition “Continuing the change – Democratic Bulgaria” will appeal the decision within three days.
