/ world today news/ At the moment we will not support the Patriotic Front to form a government, the chairman of the PG of GERB Tsvetan Tsvetanov told the media in the parliament.
Tsvetanov recalled: “we have stated our categorical political position that we will return the mandate that will be handed to us as the first political force in the current parliament. BSP, as far as I know, they too have given up on forming a cabinet. Thus, GERB and BSP with this clear position have 122 people’s representatives, which means that there is no way that the other political formations in the 43rd parliament can form a majority, commented Tsvetanov. He did some calculations: January 22, 2017, the new president takes office, and the earliest date the election could be held is sometime before March 20. At the National Security Advisory Council, which will be held under the president, a political consensus will be found and, if all parliamentary groups are considered and consolidated around the dates – March 26 or April 2, he said. According to him, April 2 is the latest date on which early parliamentary elections can be held.
We will comply with the referendum for the majority vote, but our position – after a debate, we are currently doing a legal analysis, when it is ready, we will decide whether to introduce Maya Manolova’s bill on the changes in the IC or propose another one, he pointed out. According to him, the sooner this discussion takes place, the better.
