/ world today news/ The package of bills by Tsvetan Tsvetanov and deputies from GERB for the security services will be considered for first reading in the plenary hall of the National Assembly this week.
The four bills are set as the first four points in the draft program of the parliament for work on the first working day on Wednesday at 09:00.
The first bill is a framework bill and is called the Bill for the Management and Functioning of the National Security Protection System. As points two, three and four, the leadership of the National Assembly proposes, respectively, a Bill on the State Intelligence Agency, a Bill on Military Intelligence and a bill on the National Security Service.
The new laws provide that the heads of the Military Information Service and the National Intelligence Service (NSS) will be appointed by presidential decree. The NRS will be renamed the State Intelligence Agency.
The draft law on the NSO provides for the preservation of the military status of the employees. The President of the country will carry out the general management of the NSO by appointing and dismissing the head of the service, agreed with the Council of Ministers. The officials who have the right to security are listed, as well as the types of security that are provided on the territory of the country and beyond.
