Despite two defeats, Haidgraben has not yet given up hope of promotion to the regional football league.
Ottobrunn – The district football club TSV Ottobrunn actually wanted to attack at the top after the winter break. But after the first two games, a 0:3 at TSV Oberpframmern and a 0:1 at home against leaders SC Baldham, the Haidgraben squad, who are still in third place, are twelve points behind Baldham and eleven behind the Second SC Grüne Heide Ismaning opened.
There was a lot of bad luck in the game when TSV started falsely. “We had good preparation,” says Tim Müllmaier. But after six weeks of training on artificial turf, the Ottobrunn team in Oberpframmern had to play “on a field that wasn’t a football field”, as the player coach put it. “We knew beforehand that this was going to be a fighting game and we were prepared for it. We don’t like Oberpframmen, but if we take the lead, we’ll probably win,” said the TSV coach. A header from a strong standard then initiated the defeat and “little went forward”, admitted Müllmaier.
TSV was handicapped in the top game against the Primus from Baldham. With Fabian Wittmann and Fabian Freytag, two strong youngsters were missing, with assistant coach Tobias Grill and captain Michael Kapeller, two experienced pillars. “Nevertheless, we had big plans, we wanted to win,” said Müllmaier. But the early red for defender Patric Palatin because of an emergency brake (10th) was too heavy a mortgage, even if the defense held out for a long time, even when two other defenders, Maximilian Mauermeier and Müllmaier, were injured. “We defended superbly. Baldham couldn’t think of anything,” praised the coach. In the 85th minute, however, the guests scored the goal of the day through Dominik Römer. “Hats off to the performance. It really hurt me for the lads,” Müllmaier mourned after winning the point, which would have been deserved just because of the attitude, because in the end TSV even had two big chances to equalize.
“We’ve lost six points in two games and are missing a few leading players, but we still want to start a series now,” said Müllmaier, after the bad luck at the start. If the top teams falter, his should be there. “Something can always happen.”
In addition, the best third of the three Munich district leagues came into relegation in recent seasons. “Supposedly only the second should qualify this time, but officially I still don’t know how it’s regulated,” says Müllmaier, who sees a glimmer of hope here too.
But one thing is clear: on Sunday (12.45 p.m.) at MSV Bajuwaren, a win is needed. UMBERTO SAVIGNANO
