TSLH> CBJ> In search of a cross, the Blue Jackets dig into the NCAA

A few weeks ago, Columbus traded its dealership center. As paradoxical as it may sound, the Blue Jackets want to strengthen their center line.

On January 23, Winnipeg and Columbus exchanged their problems, Dubois took the direction of Canada while Laine and Roslovic did the opposite. The team led by the sulphurous Tortorella is now with a big hole in their center line.

Roslovic showed great things when he arrived, but seems to have slowed down more recently. He is asked a lot to take Dubois’ chair. Tortorella has tried using the young Texier in the middle but he still looks a bit tender and continues to be used a bit in all positions on different lines. Same thing in the case of Domi who struggles to carve out a place in the center.

This time around, Jarmo Kekäläinen chose to go court an NCAA player. He just signed Joshua Dunne, the captain of the University of Clarkson. The 22-year-old center has already led his team to the ECAC title in the 2018/2019 season. Last season in that same division, he was voted best defensive forward. Josh Dunne will report to the Cleveland Monsters in the AHL. In 14 games this season, he has put the needle on 2 times for 3 assists, a more difficult season when he had accumulated 13 goals for 27 points in 32 games last season. Dunne has just signed a 2-year entry contract for an amount of $ 1.85M.

Kekäläinen will have a hot file to settle this end of the season. John Tortorella still doesn’t have a contract for next season. Tortorella is often singled out by the media concerning its relational side with its players. However the players pass and he always stays in place. But for how long ?
