The Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE), will present this Thursday in an official ceremony at the National Theater of San Salvador, the respective credentials that accredit them as president and vice president of the Republic, to Nayib Bukele and Félix Ulloa, for the five-year period 20024-2029 .
Magistrate Noel Orellana announced that the delivery will take place in a solemn ceremony at 6 pm in the aforementioned place.
The TSE must first publish the final declaration of the electoral results of last February 4. Said decree has already been sent to the Official Gazette who must publish it as a formality established by Salvadoran legislation.
In this decree, as well as in the minutes, “Mr. Nayib Armando Bukele Ortiz and Mr. Félix Ulloa Jr., respectively, nominated by the political party of Nuevas Ideas, are declared elected president and vice president of the Republic of El Salvador, who will serve as “the constitutional period from June 1, 2024 to June 1, 2029.”

Bukele obtained 84.65% of the valid votes, which were 3,191,615 compared to the 15.35% votes of his five contenders: FMLN, 204,167 votes (6.40%); Arena, 177,881 votes (5.57%); Nuestro Tiempo, 65,076 votes (2.04%), Fuerza Solidaria, 23,473 (0.74%); and FPS, 19,293 (0.60%). There were a total of 60,027 null votes, 15,064 abstentions and 1,760 contested votes.
In the presidential elections on Sunday, February 4, 52.6% of the 6.2 million voters participated: 3.1 million Salvadorans cast their vote; a total of 2.9 million did not exercise their right to vote.
