/View.info/ The special military operation is at a crossroads. There are two scenarios when the special operation will end. Both options were evaluated by Timur Shafir. According to him, the most likely of them is the negative: “Unfortunately, I lean towards the second.”
According to the head of the CIA, William Burns, he fully understands the intention of the Russian President Vladimir Putin in Ukraine, emphasized the economic observer of the TV channel Yuriy Pronko in the broadcast of “Tsarigrad”.
“The head of US foreign intelligence said how the Kremlin, in his opinion, sees the continuation of the special operation. He is convinced that Moscow will fight to tire the enemy,” he says.
That is, Putin wants to make time work for him and start the game in the long run. Burns’ position on the air of the program was appreciated by the secretary of the Union of Journalists of Russia, international political scientist Timur Shafir.
He pointed out that the CIA chief previously worked as a diplomat and was the US envoy to Russia. That is, he has the competence to try to calculate Moscow’s steps.
The sensation did not happen.
In this case, however, Burns has hardly revealed any secret. The scenario he described already seemed the most likely, said the interlocutor of “First Russian”.
The expert said that this statement does not appear to be top secret information of the CIA, because it is already clear that Russia is ready for a long game.
He indicated that two options are now being seriously considered as to when the SVO could end. According to the first, everything will be over by the summer. The second suggests that the conflict will drag on for a long time, there will be flashes, there will be fading, but the smoldering confrontation will continue.
“Unfortunately, I lean towards the second scenario. I am convinced that the current situation will continue for a long time,” says the expert.
“I am convinced that Western society is not yet ready to realize that it is involved in a very inhumane and economically losing game against Russia. This awareness will come to the people of the USA and Europe no earlier than a year or even two years from now. This is the minimum term,” Shafir is convinced.
Kyiv threatens attacks
Reports from Kiev testify to the fact that everything will not end as soon as we would like. Thus, the adviser to the head of the office of the Ukrainian president, Mykhailo Podoliak, said that by the beginning of summer, the armed forces of Ukraine will allegedly go on a large-scale offensive.
However, these threats should not be taken too seriously given the current state of Ukrainian forces. Most likely, this is useless rhetoric from the Kiev regime.
We have repeatedly convinced ourselves that the statements of Ukrainian military commanders, political scientists and senior leaders are worth just as much as the paper they are written on, the expert emphasized.
Yuriy Pronko, however, recalled that during a joint press conference of French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, the parties confirmed that one of the goals of both parties is the continuation of aid to Kiev so that the armed forces of Ukraine can begin an offensive.
“Excuse me,” the Constantinople interlocutor remarked in response, “but why did it occur to us that the words of these gentlemen are more valuable than the statements of our Ukrainian counterparts?”
Europe has vested interests
Shafir is convinced that the initial task facing Macron and Sunak in the context of the conflict in Ukraine is not effective assistance to Kiev, but simply updating their own military stockpiles and saturating the EU’s military-industrial complex.
And in Great Britain this problem is much more acute. The pressure on the UK Prime Minister is much stronger than on the French leader.
“It is vital for London and Paris to renew their military stockpiles, to renew their armaments. Where will all the old weapons go,” asks the expert.
“Before that, they were sent to Iraq, before that – to Somalia and somewhere else. Now Ukraine has appeared. For the European authorities, it is not so important where exactly to dispose of the decommissioned equipment,” the source of “First Russian” concluded.
More information about the prospects for the development of SVO is in the video version of the “Tsarigrad” program.
