TSA offers jobs at New York airport with $1,000 starting bonus

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced on its website that it is hiring officers to work at Elmira Corning Regional Airport.

The TSA is offering a $1,000 hiring bonus to people who become TSA officers at Elmira Corning Regional Airport.

the chosen people they will receive $500 to start and another $500 on their first anniversary. Initial payment at the airport is $16.90 per hour. The TSA notes that new employees will have opportunities for salary increases after six months.

According to the page, those interested will be supported by current TSA officers at a recruiting table near the security checkpoint to provide briefings on what it’s like to work as a TSA officer.

The information desk will also be staffed for applicants to review the hiring process on June 21 and 22, from 10 am to noon.

The TSA details that benefits for full- and part-time employees include paid training, sick and annual leave, and robust health care plans. TSA is committed to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment and encourages people of all backgrounds to apply, including military veterans and people with disabilities.

Among the tasks of the TSA officers is the screen thousands of airline travelers dailymaking sure they reach their destinations safely.

TSA expects to regularly screen higher volume of travelers for the summer and needs additional officers to support its security mission.
