Before it was officially launched in Indonesia, the Tek.id team had the opportunity to taste the Xiaomi Mi 12.
Xiaomi will launch soon smartphone flagship their latest in the near future. In several official posts on Xiaomi Indonesia’s social media accounts, they said they would soon launch Mi 12.
Well, before officially announcing the launch date of this one device, they invited the team Tek.id for unboxing and hands-on Mi 12. And as it turns out, we love it.
If at this time smartphone flagship having a bigger screen, the Mi 12 looks a little different. Xiaomi chose to use a slightly smaller screen size, which is 6.28 inches on the device.
To be honest, this size doesn’t feel too small when we hold it. We were able to reach most of the screen with just one hand, which was a pretty good experience.
Although small, this Chinese company still provides a flagship screen experience on this device. We’re talking about the presence of an AMOLED panel, having 68 billion colors, a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision features, HDR10+, and a screen brightness of 1100 nits (peak). The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
But the most surprising thing about this device is its camera capabilities. When compared to its predecessors, such as the Mi 11 and Mi 10, the camera capabilities are greatly improved.
They use a 50MP main camera that uses a 50 MP Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS. There is also a 13 MP ultrawide camera, and a 5 MP macro camera on the back. While the front camera uses a 32 MP camera.
As for the innards, they use the latest SoC from Qualcomm, namely Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Users will also get a choice of 8GB RAM models with 128GB or 256GB storage and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage.
Lastly, despite having a compact body, they can still embed a 4,500mAh battery. To charge, users will get a 67W charger as well as support for 50W wireless charging.
For now, it is still unknown when Xiaomi Indonesia will officially introduce smartphone this one. And for the price itself, if it is translated from global prices, it will have a price between Rp. 8.2 million to Rp. 9.8 million.
