Try Diablo 2: Resurrected? Early access and open beta will begin soon

Those who pre-order the game will be the first to play, from 13 August at 19:00 to 17 August with a pre-load from 11 August. It will be followed from the 20th to the 23rd open beta with a pre-load from August 18 on the PC and August 17 on the consoles.

There are PCs, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S on board. Switch owners have to wait until the game is released. In the case of pre-access, you must have an Xbox Live Gold subscription on your Xbox, but no longer during an open beta. PS Plus is not required in any case. However, both of these services will need to be active when the game comes out to access multiplayer features.

In terms of content, players can test not only alpha characters (Amazon, sorceress and barbarian), but also paladins and druids. The first two acts will be available, including remade movies. The progress from the early access version will be transferred to the open beta, however, when the game comes out on September 23, everyone will start again. An internet connection is required during the test (the final version will allow you to play offline) and it will also not be possible to upload a saved position from the original game.

The piquant thing is that Blizzard has not been working on the remaster for the last few months, but the Vicarious Visions studio, which became part of Blizzard at the beginning of the year by the decision of Activision. The studio is responsible for successful remasters Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy whose Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2. Remaster was originally in charge of internal Team 1 (StarCraft II, Heroes of the Storm or WarCraft III: Reforged), which was disbanded last October. Many veterans left Blizzard and set up their own studios.
