Ukrainians were asked whom they trust and distrust most among Ukrainian politicians and figures. The current head of state was included in the trust rating Vladimir Zelenskyhead of the Nikolaev regional military administration Vitaly Kim and others. Ukrainians were asked how much they trust politicians, officials and public figures. The highest level of trust among respondents is in Zelensky (75%), Kim (64%) and volunteer Sergei Pritula (51%).
More trust than distrust was expressed in the adviser to the head of the Presidential Office Mikhail Podolyak (45%), the mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko (44%), Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexey Danilov (42%).
The head of the SBU was also included in the trust rating Vasyl Malyuk (34%), journalist Yuri Butusov (31%), volunteer Sergey Sternenko (28.5%), head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Igor Klimenko (26%) and the Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov (25%).
Most of all among the citizens surveyed do not trust deputies Boyko, Tymoshenko (82% each), as well as the leader European solidarity Petro Poroshenko (73%).
Also included in the anti-rating were a former adviser to the Office of the President Alexey Arestovich (71%), journalist Dmitry Gordon (58%), head of the faction Servant of the People David Arahamia (54%) and head of the President’s Office Andrey Ermak (53%).
The Razumkov Center survey was conducted face-to-face from September 21 to 27, 2023, as part of the “Join In!” program to promote social activism, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Sociologists surveyed 2,016 adult citizens throughout Ukraine, except for the temporarily occupied territories. The theoretical error does not exceed 2.3%.
A survey by Democratic Initiatives in August 2023 showed that the absolute majority (90%) of Ukrainians are not going to “exchange” territories for “peace.” Also in August, the Rating Group asked Ukrainians how they feel about the residents of the occupied territories. The vast majority of Ukrainians have lost close relatives or friends due to Russian aggression (KIIS data for the end of spring and beginning of summer 2023).
