Trussardi Joins Miroglio Group: Acquisition and Future Plans

Trussardi, we read in a note, will join the Piedmontese group as an independent brand, maintaining its headquarters in Milan. The scope of the operation includes a network of 15 points of sale strategically positioned in Italy, the historical archive and licensing rightswhich extend the brand’s visibility and influence across multiple industries. In the coming weeks it will be necessary to better understand the issue related to the approximately 200 employees (for them the extraordinary cash had expired last December) and the fate of the other excluded stores, in addition to the historic Almé Outlet.

For months the Alba group had made its offer for the Levriero maison, which in recent years has gone through a serious financial crisis, but it was necessary to wait for the green light from the Court of Milan, since the Bergamo company was subjected to a negotiated settlement of the crisis that began in March 2023, first for six months, then extended for another six, in agreement with the creditors.

Now the “green light” has arrived for the operation which has thus come to fruition within a few days. Miroglio has made it known that he intends to enhance the Trussardi brand starting from its distinctive categories and aims to evolve it towards a complete experience that goes beyond the boundaries of fashion, offering products and services that embody its essence also in the world of lifestyle. Trussardi will adopt a multi-channel growth strategy, with particular attention to the key markets of Italy, Eastern Europe and the Middle East, where the Orobic brand enjoys a solid reputation.

Founded in Bergamo in 1911 (initially it produced luxury gloves), Trussardi is recognized internationally among the symbols of Italianness in the world, we read in the note, thanks to a distinctive combination of heritage, craftsmanship and contemporary style, starting from the sector of leather goods. On her part, Miroglio is a very integrated fashion group, which already owns nine clothing brands (including Elena Mirò, Motivi, Oltre and Fiorella Rubino), distributed, including internationally, through 1,100 single-brand stores and 1,700 multi-brand stores.
